In this article, I will be doing a brief review of some projects in the cryptocurrency space that I will describe as pretty cool and out of this world. This will be the fifth of its kind over the last couple of months.
Today I will be going over some other similar but unique projects in the cryptocurrency space very quickly. I got some of the videos embedded from the team’s official YouTube channel.
Let’s quickly take a walk through these great projects that make the cryptocurrency experience even better.
STEEMPRESS
imgSteemPress is a WordPress plugin that connects any WordPress blog to the Steem blockchain. In other words, with SteemPress, a user can post to WordPress and Steemit at the same time. The basic idea behind this is to help users monetize contents that they couldn’t have been able to monetize by just posting on WordPress. To understand this better, we take a look at what the STEEM blockchain is all about and how the monetization scheme works.
STEEM (the host blockchain of steemit.com) is a blockchain where content and contributions are rewarded with a native cryptocurrency called STEEM based on the upvotes from users.
How does a user get rewarded on STEEM?
The STEEM reward distribution is based on upvotes and the upvotes distribute rewards in the magnitude of the number of STEEM tokens owned by the curator (the one who does the upvoting). They call this function the “Stake-Weighted-voting”. So the higher the curator’s stake in the STEEM ecosystem, the more reward he gets to distribute. The STEEM tokens earned from content creation can then be traded online with 0 transaction costs and with 3 second transaction time.
Before SteemPress, regular bloggers or blog owners will only have to depend on Google or other content monetizing schemes that operate in a centralized manner; which means some users can be locked out of the opportunity. Most people will agree that if there’s any time we see more dynamics and innovation in the social media space that time is right now. We’ve seen a lot of platforms where users get to do almost the same thing on all these platforms. Governments make decisions that have joint impacts without putting the best interest of their people (citizens) into consideration. These are just a few cases we find within the geographical confines of offline countries. However, this is not to say that there are no issues across international boundaries.
As a matter of fact, some of the most horrific events in the history of humanity are tied around border issues and dispute over where boundaries should be drawn. We have seen bloodbaths occurring as a result of these.
In the face of all of these individuals still had to identify with countries not because they wanted to but because there were no other options. However, with a borderless digital nation in place; operating at a higher capacity than conventional national jurisdictions, there will definitely be a difference in the way governments operate going forward.
What BITNATION is offering is literally a global citizenship that gives individuals access to top-class services and infrastructures in the digital space; irrespective of where they are on the planet. The model of BITNATION will be less political and more citizens focused.
There is going to be fewer struggles among citizens for resources rather, there will be more competition between nations to meet the needs of their citizens because of the existence of a superior model of governance by BITNATION.
