Business Model of BOScoin

Postscript of White Paper 2.0

May 2018, I had a job interview with BOScoin. Wanted to be prepared for the interview, so read the draft of the White Paper the company had not published. Didn't fully understand its business model (BM) at the time. I tried but it wasn't easy because the BM was not clearly stated. Nonetheless, I wanted to work there although there were big reasons not to: the company wasn't making any revenue (like any other coin companies but still this fact made me hesitated) and I wasn't a big fan of coin at all. Despite all the concerns, I was intrigued by the idea that was not even clearly furnished at the time. In the end, I got on board.

Now, I clearly understand what I was intrigued by at that time. The concept of Boscoin's BM, Public Financing, is something truly amazing. The idea is so groundbreaking that it may not come true. Unfortunately, for many reasons the recently published White Paper 2.0 doesn't convey its limitless potential. In this regard, I wanna share the unpublished interpretation of it from my perspective.

Imagine you wanna do something trendy that digital nomad does such as "living in a foreign city for several months." What would you bring with you? The foremost thing you need is your credit card. Or it could be cash in the form of that country's currency even though currency exchange could be somewhat cumbersome. Wherever you go, you need something to acquire all utilities, services and commodities being sold there. You need to prepare yourself for buying things in the local fashion. On-site stores and local currencies are given option. Some people may find it interesting and authentic that they have very closed right of choice in traveling. But what if we can design some of it so that we can enjoy charm of the place in a more comfortable way? Don't you wanna reduce the cognitive expenses of organizing everything including hospitality, mobility, and utilities while traveling?

Now imagine that you can design your own credit card that you can select utilities, services and commodities being offered and discounted. This type of credit card has never existed because most of us are not in charge of deciding the credit card member stores. But, don't you wanna have this? I really wanna have one! Not only for the travel but also for my daily life, as well! It is like living with an on-demand credit card. You decide not only which stores you get discounted but also which stores be located near your living and/or working spaces. We have never had this kind of experience--to design our own choice options. Instead, we are accustomed to choose what's given to us.

Believe or not, this is what BOScoin aims to achieve with Public Financing (PF) model. Community decides which company should be financed under the condition that the company offers membership-only discounts on its services. PF provides consumers power to choose utilities, services and commodities at an optimal price by directly issuing credits. No intermediaries are necessary. God bless Blockchain technology.

Of course I'm not suggesting that we have only rosy prospects. Technology hasn't been fully developed. However, I am the person who believe that tech follows ideas.

BOScoin is opening its Mainnet soon.
May be the first step of realizing the goal.
I am eager to see what we can achieve with this cutting edge technology.
