I don't think I need to explain how big news this is, when I show Xbox and Blockchain payment - those 2 words together made the big news.Microsoft announced that they are going to use Blockchain payment to manage royalty payments for gaming developers. Microsoft not showed interest in first time and they already implemented payment method for buying the Microsoft products. Yes you can buy and get premium sub by paying in Bitcoin. They implemented long ago but still we didn't get any statics that what % of users using Bitcoin payment method.
But this is surely the big news as this time they are going to use it with Xbox. This will be built on top of the Quorum Blockchain using Microsoft's Azure Cloud. They are going to test initially on Xbox gaming colones to manage royalty payments for gaming developers.This will include payments for video game publishers and this also includes one of the largest gaming publishers worldwide - Ubisoft.The company made made US $1.65 billion in sales last year with the products Prince of Persia, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Just Dance, Rayman & the Tom Clancy series (These games are really amazing and addictive, I my self tried Prince of Percia, Assassin's Creed and Far cry - I loved it. Anyway let's back to the point).
According to news the current software they are using is not that good and very complex to understand.New blockchain payment not only be helpful to make process fast but the new product will be easy to understand and use.Also with this they are hoping that this will help them to cut half of the cost.
