SPRING ROLE: AN ATTESTATION AND REPUTATION BASED NETWORK

INTRODUCTION:
In a bid to reach a larger population for the purpose advertisement of personal or company profile, individuals and corporate bodies use various platforms to do this thus, adding value to the platform first. Companies who seek recruits go to these platforms and get persons who meet up to their specified standard. In this way, the users of the platform add value through participation to these platforms but do not receive value (in monetary terms) from these platforms. However because of the high profile of professionals businesses and individuals, participation is very important as it increases the value of the business and/or increases the chances of getting hired . In summary, users who seek to promote individual or company profile or wish to be hired, creates a profile where his/her résumé is put up. Recruiters make their choices based on the data presented. Since résumés are usually the first point of contact between potential employers and candidates, they contain captivating attributes which attracts employers and at the same time meets specifications. However, it has been found that most résumés contain false data. This is done in a bid to impress employers or increase personal profile. This gives employers the great task of verifying data presented before them.

The blockchain technology, have for the first time, provided an easy solution where everyone can have a digital synchronized ledger which cannot be changed. Hence, the need to create a system that will allow people have genuine resumes and recommendations powered on blockchain arises. This need has been taken up as springrole sets to create new pattern will be generally adopted whereby increased confidence in what we read online about people’s professional profile will exist.

ABOUT SPRINGROLE:
Springrole is a platform whose existence was birthed as the need to tackle the current setbacks in the current attestation system arose. The process of getting verified information in the data provided by people carries a long, time-consuming process where they have to follow series of processes just check the validity of the information provided in the resume. Springrole stands to readily provide verified information in the resume and professional profile of individuals using the blockchain technology to people who need them while at the same time giving incentives to users. Springrole is designed to promote trust among people and companies whereby information seen on the resume of candidates do not need to undergo further scrutiny as they have been already verified. Owing to the fact that clear attestation is required to verify the authenticity of resumes, springrole creates an avenue where this is achieved. Our aim is to build a platform that is scalable and robust which provides dual satisfaction and at the same time giving incentives to users of the platform.

PROBLEM STATEMENT AND SOLUTION
Just as earlier stated, one of the problems facing the verification of data presented in the resume of candidates is the fact that they usually take a lot of time. More so, the process of verification could be hindered as a result of distance. For instance, verification which has to be done for the resume of an individual whose data provided shows that he/she gained some qualifications outside the country could be impaired. Also attestation, which constitutes the verification process, could be rendered futile if the individual to give the attestation is of blessed memory.

Springrole, in a bid to solve the verification problem, sets up a attestation systems. One of these systems is the reputation system- a platform which allows users to rate each other online and based on this a score is given to the individual. Verified information is then sent to blockchain where it is made available to people who need. It in summary, the verification system has two features: crowdsourcing your reputation in a particular skill through endorsements by individuals of similar field and the actual verification and validation of professional details through organizational attestations. In this way, the stress of verifying the resume of individuals is solved.
