. .hear me out, don’t sleep on bitcoin SV.

i know, purists, look i know. ..

it’s like a weird feeling in ya stomach, it’s like when you go to a tech conference and someone tells you they have made a new product when it’s really just a mashup of two api’s from someone else, nothing new, just plugged into everything else under the sun.

it’s a hack and slash approach to making some creatively new, it’s like a splintered piece of wood from the bench, it’s only a small part of what makes the bench so great.

from big corps to small scrappy startups, everything iterates, over and over, from a different point of view, a different ethic, a different way than what was expected in the first place.

often times this dilutes the overall vision of what was originally planned, people get emotional or so invested in the original vision that they become transfixed on that vision and nothing else, people become max focused on that and nothing else will fly.

I played around with bitcoin “cash” and bitcoin “sv” briefly a few years back just to see what they did, what the utility was, who the “community” around them was, what they brought to the table, looked at the changes that they actually added to their vision of expression/ethic of the original.

Nothing really kept me using it, i had the same impression with litecoin and dash and while both were incredibly fast and exciting for a first time crypto user they had very limited utility for me, i wasn’t living in venezuelan so i wasn’t buying fried chicken with my dash balance.

so i forgot about them for a while, the buzz factor died down, i got my start with a crypto wallet and then i started looking around for coins that had real world “utility” — something that i could build upon, my time for crypto payment/balance (at least that was going around in my head)

later on i would find staking and that made a lot more sense to me from an investment point of view, if i stake and there is a benefit to do so and i’m using the platform on a daily basis then that gives me a real utility base to work from.

that’s just happened to me with bitcoin SV.

it’s not just fast, it’s super fast, incredibly speedy, like transaction times are instant, so much so i can be on voice chat with my partner and see it arrive, that’s what you get with a massive block size, say what you wanna say about the ethics, developers, backers, investors.

but when you can marry frontend utility with clean software that looks like centralised platforms you minimise the bridge to jump from one thing to another.

people trust clean, easy interfaces that get out of the way, the less they have to get from A to B without having to remember how a piece of software works the better.

HandCash · The best way to join Bitcoin apps is one such application. i now use that as a wallet to feed my Twetch account balance for tweeting over there, paying people, subscribing to services but also as a crypto backup to be able to send money fast.

Ok, so i get it, most crypto can do that these days, heck, with hive, it’s three seconds and no gas fees as long as you have some staked hive, you have a mana bar of resource credits.

But it goes way past that, i’ve seen some really interesting projects that have popped up around the ability to do things fast, little micro economies of tools that help the content creator to reach out and promote, classifieds and feed tools.

some of the little tools i’m using right now are as follows. ..

handcash & moneybutton

https://handcash.io + https://www.moneybutton.com
handcash is great because it’s a super clean interface a little bit like cash app, simple wallet, simple handle setup, payments are great. money button is not as nice as handcash but it’s still great, each of them offer different things.

tonicpow

https://tonicpow.com
“earn, promote, explode” — a fully fledged system for earning by watching/interacting with promoted “cards” the exploding traffic part comes from the fact that you can budget for how much you want to spend — i’d love to see a similar product on this blockchain.

pay pistol

https://pay-pistol.web.app
“tip your friends from hand cash at lightning speeds!” — what’s interesting about this is that it’s built by the people that make handcash, i guess to show how fast that can send using bitcoinSV — what i love about it is that you can open up a twitter message.

link to that and everyone that replied with their handle it can process — kinda rad, great little tipping tool, could be fab for onboarding/retention.

dtube has the ability to “tip” people now too as well as the upvote.

mitto.cash

https://mitto.cash
“send bitcoin via email” — simple, fast and private — i’ve not stepped through and used this yet but again, it’s another micro application that uses handcash as a bridge — again, certainly helps people get their first crypto easily, means friends can send you some crypto to get you going.

peergame

https://peergame.com
i’m not a gambling man but i do like how clean this website is and the integration is great, you can connect both moneybutton and handcash for rapid addition of funds.

streamanity

http://streamanity.com
interesting way of doing revenue share for videos, certainly will be putting videos up here just to see what kinda reaction or interest/feedback i get. not sure if the payout is instant but i had to link my money button paymail address to it — looks like relayX has now acquired this.

windbell

https://windbell.app
“Windbell is a curation service that seeks to place the user’s flow of information back into their control” — i really love this because you can start to mesh together streams of information that you want to bring into twetch, if you have a project, linked to lots of sources (rss) you can put some of your promotion on automatic.

relayX (nft/cards)

https://relayx.com/market/CARD
not wrapped my head around how this works out just yet but as far as i can tell they are only making 5000 cards (i.e scarcity and foam) right now buying the NFT (the virtual card) is around $40/50 once you have one, you can get the physical card sent out to you.

The world’s first payment card that can be topped up instantly with micro transactions, meaning you can spend instantly when you use BSV applications. Cards are engraved with your RelayX 1handle and card number. Read more at https://relayx.medium.com/introducing-nfts-on-relayx-exchange-5-000-card-sales-b3f86b37b86f

for me having tools that can move away from centralised platforms with is the move, things that are easy to use, have a minimal interface, easy to load up crypto with and are near on instant certainly add to the user experience.

the fact that i now have utility tools to be able to mass send micro payments to a bunch of handles easily, buy and sell NFTS integrated into the platform that feels native, picking up a virtual NFT card (to physical card) — custom building feeds and other content creator streaming options too, that’s great!

Maybe give it a shot, it’s really moved on since i last looked at it.
