The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has collaborated with NASA and a researcher from Akron University to explore the possibility of using the Chin Block Chen technology to enhance space communications and navigation.
NASA gave the researcher a 3-year term and an Early Career Faculty grant worth $ 330,000 to lead research on Resilient Networking and Computing Paradigm using Block Qin technology behind the smart contracts. The researcher explained in a statement in which the university said:
"Block-Qin's etherium technology will be used in this project to develop a decentralized, secure and knowledge-based network infrastructure and computing infrastructure for deep space exploration. Block Chin consensus protocols will be further explored in order to improve the flexibility of the infrastructure. And I hope to develop a technology that can identify and avoid environmental threats, in addition to completing a number of tasks automatically "
Dr. Wei, who leads the research, believes that if this is done correctly, it will allow spacecraft to do more tasks and collect data, while giving scientists time to respond to environmental threats.
Thomas Kakbora, director of the Advanced Communications Program at NASA's Glenn Research Center, supports this research, saying it is the first of its kind. Speaking of the research, he explained:
"This effort will support decentralized processing of the NASA space network nodes in a secure manner, which means a more responsive, flexible and scalable network. So that existing and emerging networks can be integrated together in a consistent manner. It is expected that the potential will be enormous to contribute to next-generation space networks, and also allow the technological transition of these algorithms to commercial systems "
