Football fans and enthusiasts seems not to be the only ones trooping to the 2018 FIFA WORLD Cup which is gonna take place in Russia a few months from now.
It seems like the king of all crypto "Bitcoin" has already found its place in the front row seat for the World cup games.
Hotels in Russia are prepared to start accepting the digital currency prior to the FIFA world cup games.
They plan to achieve this by partnering with on of Russia's largest electronic payment processor "Free-kassa" which also supports bitcoin payment solution in it's services.
However, this partnership is mostly peculiar with Hotels in Russia's westmost capital region called "Kaliningrad"
Also,According to local media, a hotel chain has already teamed up with the payment processor to provide the service.According to Anna subbotina manager of Apartments Manila,she said in quote
"We are seeing increasing interest in cryptocurrencies.
They will gradually come into use as a means of payment.We have decided that fans should be able to pay for our services with the help of this innovative technology”.
This she made known to a leading online print publication for travel and meetings, buyers and arrangers, global news and information on travel management,called
" buying business Russia"
My take on this
I think this kind of development is a very good one for spearheading Bitcoin towards mass adoption phase. cos I believe the world cup is one of the grandest stage where any product can be successfully marketed and bitcoin seems to be capitalizing very well on that.As they say ,there is always a first time for everything and I strongly believe that this might be the first phase for Bitcoin mass adoption.
