Doc Brown's Lightning Fast Bitcoin

Doc Brown's Bitcoin platform independence movement just got a major boost! You may think there are already too many Bitcoin forks out there, but now there is finally one that matters! One that could move the industry away from its debilitating addiction to mining for good!

"We are going to reunite Bitcoin lovers
by giving them technology so advanced
they will quit forking around with Satoshi's old prototype
and finish the global financial superhighway!"
-- Doc Brown

Previously in this series...

Back in July we posted a series of articles about the August 1 Bitcoin Fork. We urged them not to do it, because it would lead to a confusing proliferation of other forks. That has happened. We then pointed out the bright side: If you do break up Bitcoin, you will break Big Mining's lock on the system and allow the industry to move forward. We believe that Lightning Bitcoin based on BitShares' DPOS technology is a step in the right direction. But Doc Brown still has bigger plans...

Why You Should Be Using a Decentralized Exchange

Lightning Bitcoin (LBTC) vs Fast Bitcoin (FBTC)

Doc Brown: Marty! Marty! You're not gonna believe this. It's all happening, just like we planned!

Marty: What is it Doc? Did we win the lottery or something?

Doc Brown: Better! Look at this post! Someone's got funding to move Bitcoin away from mining and back to the Future!

Marty: Whoa, Doc! This is heavy. But, wait, they're building a stand-alone separate chain instead of building on the BitShares decentralized exchange like you suggested. That means they'll be stuck using centralized exchanges to trade their stuff against all the other assets coming to BitShares. And how are they going to upgrade to EOS if they are sitting out there in the cold?

Doc Brown: Wow, Marty, you're getting the hang of this stuff! Very competitive of you!

Marty: Yeah, well, nobody calls me chicken...

Doc Brown: Look at it this way Marty. Sure, it would be better if the industry made the jump to BitShares in one swell foop, but this is a huge step in the right direction. Once people start seeing that Fast Bitcoins are possible and legitimate, they'll want to trade them on a decentralized exchange with all the hot stuff BitShares has coming down the pipe. This will shake everything loose in the mean time, and BitShares will benefit when the dust settles.

Marty: I don't know, Doc. This could reduce the incentives to migrate away from the big Central Exchanges. Now people will have to figure out on their own why trusting other humans with your coins instead of trading them right from your own wallet is a really bad idea.

Doc Brown: Don't worry Marty. The Billion Hero Campaign will teach them all about that. And EOS will connect BitShares to the world with all kinds of insanely great new assets, frictionless interoperability and unlimited scalability. And who knows, maybe we can talk Lightning Bitcoin into migrating there with us! In the mean time, people are going to want their BitShares network Fast Bitcoins even more now. We just need to get the community behind that worker proposal code to hand them out. They may be more motivated to do it now!

Marty: You're the Doc, Doc!
