Venture investor-billionaire Tim Draper (Tim Draper) remains true to his forecast of the price of bitcoin in 250 thousand by 2022.
The first known bitcoin supporter made it in April of this year, then confirmed, noting that BTC is significant more than the Internet, the Iron age, the Renaissance and the Industrial revolution.
In a large interview with the business edition of TheStreet, Tim Draper told about his views on the development of the crypto-currency market, ICO, regulation of this sphere. He also explained what his confidence in such a significant increase in the price of bitcoin in the next four years is based on.
"I expect that cryptocurrencies will increase the speed of money turnover. The current global currency market of $ 86 trillion will grow to about $ 140 trillion over the next 10 years, and this will be growth in cryptocurrencies. In fact, I estimate that the volume of Fiat currencies in circulation will be reduced, and that the crypt will be all $100 trillion of that market. I expect that bitcoin will take about 10% of the volume or $10 trillion. There's a lot of room for growth here,” Draper said.
He noted that other cryptocurrencies will also " grow and surprise us." Their use will expand as the technology improves, the billionaire said. And Draper continues to see the future of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a means of payment — as well as, for example, Jack Dorsey (Jack Dorsey) or Steve Wozniak (Steve Wozniak).
"Before, the bitcoin blockchain was too slow to make small transactions, so it was better as a store of value. But what happens is that over time, more technology makes it easier for us to use. We have already had the introduction of Lightning, Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold, and I think that eventually these cryptocurrencies will be used everywhere, as engineers continue to make them faster and more useful,” the venture investor stressed.
Recall, Tim Draper has repeatedly expressed the opinion that in the next few years, cryptocurrencies will replace Fiat money.
