Russia follows China's example: Will ban the bitcoin trade!

Russia is working to ban trade in bitcoin. According to the national bank, bitcoin is a criminal currency, and therefore its spread must be curtailed.

"We can no longer stand for the easy access to such a suspicious currency as bitcoin is," says Deputy Director of Russian National Bank Sergei Shvetsov."

This makes Russia seriously criticize the country's President Vladimir Putin has previously directed to bitcoin by rightly closing the sites and websites that deal with the currency in Russia.

"We are convinced that the use of cryptographic currencies such as this (bitcon) by our citizens entails an unreasonably high risk," continues Sergei Shvetsov.

Follows China's example

It is only a month ago that China's two largest bitcoin dealers were closed down by the Chinese government with roughly the same reason: the currency is scary and serves as a daunting purpose.

Of course, it does not make it possible for Chinese to trade with the digital currency, but it makes it significantly harder. If the Russian government chooses to follow suit, the currency risks losing access to another significant market.

Exactly how the blockings are to be launched is still being decided in cooperation between the Russian Public Prosecutor and the National Bank, writes the Russian media RBC.

According to the Russian media TASS, the Russian government should be ready with new concrete legislation on crypto currencies 'later in October'.
