Bitcoin has upcoming softfork August 1st (or potentially earlier), Litecoin has update with the project with MIT on the same day.
There are many existing currencies as of today for people to use as cash, USD, EUR, JPY etc.
I think the winner as a currency use among cryptos does not have to be one.
Decentralized shapeshift between Bitcoin and Litecoin, which makes LTC coin to be able to purchase product with Bitcoin price tag on lightning network.
If everyone in the world is only using Bitcoin, it will surely be too heavy to operate. As there are over hundred fiat currency to exist, or the technology improves and changes the way it is.
If we only use Gold to purchase the product in the world. There will be shortage of the physical gold and price will go up insanely, with the supply/demand.
This lightning network is exciting to happen, and it would also change the way of the current crypto market as well as to get more attention for users to use altcoins to purchase product.
Here is Charlie Lee interview in March, just before market started to spike. He left Coinbase to fully focus on Litecoin now!
