Forecasting on Wings – WePower

We’ve got a new project on WINGS called WePower.

Today I’ll take a look at the project and give you my forecast.

WePower plans to change the renewable energy market from the bottom up by connecting green energy producers directly with households or investors.

It’s CEO and co-founder is Nikolai Martyniuk, who has spent the last decade in the green energy industry.

The WePower platform enables renewable energy producers to raise capital by issuing their own energy tokens. Those tokens represent energy that will be produced in the future. And that way energy producers can trade directly with green energy buyers and raise capital by selling energy up front.

Plus, WePower will directly integrate with the energy grid and wholesale energy markets. And because it’s on the blockchain it will all be transparent.

They have a pilot project going on in Estonia right now. And according to CEO Martyniuk WePower has already secured the necessary partnerships to start energy trading immediately and has a pipeline of projects waiting for investments.

He says they’ll be operation in Spain within 9 months and are targeting Germany, Italy, Greece, and Portugal thereafter.

Check out WePower on Wings for all the details.

Forecasters are being rewarded with 1.5% of the total tokens, up to $525,000, for forecasting on this project. The forecasting lasts until January 15.

As of this writing the average forecast is 26,049 ETH with the median forecast being 26,185 ETH. So far nearly 28 million WINGS have participated.

The tokensale has a soft cap of $5 million and a hard cap of $35 million. I think they hit the hard cap so the real question becomes, what will the price of ETH be during the token sale that doesn’t start for another 18 days. I’m guessing $1,500 so I’m forecasting 23,333 ETH.
