Big Business Embraces the Blockchain

Recently there has been a lot of news of big corporations embracing the blockchain.

Today I look at some of the more interesting recent announcements.

The first project is with Coca-Cola.

It announced a partnership with the US Department of Labor, the non-profit Blockchain Trust Accelerator, and The Bitfury Group.

The goal of the project is to use blockchain’s digital ledger technology to create a secure registry for workers that will help fight the use of forced labor worldwide.

Next up is Korea Telecom, the leading mobile carrier in South Korea, which announced it plans to use a new telecom system powered by blockchain security solutions.

The company also plans to launch a blockchain-enhanced roaming service by June.

There’s also Playboy. It’s launching a new payment option where customers can pay for adult content in cryptocurrencies.

According to the reports the first token it will accept is the Vice Industry Token )(VIT). I’ve never heard of it before.

Finally we have Yahoo!Japan which just took a 40% stake in BitARG Exchange Tokyo, worth $19 million.

The plan is to launch a cryptocurrency exchange by April 2019 or later.

Comment if you know any other recent big business and blockchain announcements.
