I'm not 100% certain but I think he's playing on these with Otis Redding. Wiki says he toured with him in 1966

I have a funny memory of being about 13 when it came out and got the Allman brothers confused with the Osmond family somehow. In my defence it was harder to find out things in 1971 than it is now :)
