Divine Guidance

šŸ“ƒ Bible šŸ“ƒ:
Divine Guidance (1)

ā€œHeā€¦sends them in the right direction.ā€

Ps 25:8 TM

Throughout Scripture God talked to ordinary people, and Heā€™ll talk to you too! He told Abraham when to leave home (See Ge 12:1), and Jacob when to go back home (See Ge 31:3). He told Elijah where to find food in the middle of a famine (See 1Ki 17:1-5). On two different occasions He stopped Paul from walking through what appeared to be a door of opportunity because He had something better in mind for him. The Bible says: ā€œGod is fair and just; He corrects the misdirected, sends them in the right direction. He gives the rejects his hand, and leads them step-by-step. From now on every road you travel will take you to God. Follow the Covenant signs; read the charted directionsā€ (Ps 25:8-10 TM). Nothing is more important in life than being led by God. Other peopleā€™s input should confirm and clarify what Godā€™s already telling you. But until youā€™ve heard from Him, youā€™ll be tempted to think other peopleā€™s ideas are Godā€™s leadingā€”and that can hurt you. Youā€™re unique, and God has a unique plan and purpose for you. When youā€™re not sure which way to go, stand on His promise: ā€œIā€™ll take the hand of those who donā€™t know the way, who canā€™t see where theyā€™re going. Iā€™ll be a personal guideā€¦directing them through unknown country. Iā€™ll be right there to show them what roads to take, make sure they donā€™t fall into the ditch. These are the things Iā€™ll be doing for themā€”sticking with them, not leaving them for a minuteā€ (Isa 42:16 TM). It doesnā€™t get any better than that!
