Don't be jealous or proud, but be humble and consider others more important than yourselves. Care about them as much as you care about yourselves and think the same way that Christ Jesus thought: Christ was truly God. But he did not remain equal to God.—Philippians 2:3-6

Here we see that Humility is very important. We must remain humble no matter how God lifts us up. The scripture says God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. Humility takes us to greater heights in life. But pride causes down fall.
