My personal opinion about DLive <3

Hi my name is Wyatt and I would have to say that I'm falling more and more in love with dlive every day. The community here is outstanding, someone is always willing to give a helping hand. I have met so many amazing people from this platform already and im stoked for the people I will connect with through here in the near future. So many outstanding content creators, I couldn't picture myself being anywhere else but here.
The fact that we now have a form of micro transactions for live streaming is some next level "shiz"! This gives content creators/viewers the power, they have the ability to say what's good and what is not with a simple action of an upvote. This is a game changer in the streaming field, for example if you do happen to get partnered with twitch, twitch will end up taking 50% of all ad revenue. This is not the case with dlive, instead the viewer and the content creator reap the reward cutting out the middlemen, the middlemen who love to gouge us content creators. This is a more efficient way for content creators to get paid for their passions (who could say no to that). I can’t wait to see what DLive will turn into a year down the road, I am seeing a very bright future!

How do you decide if a stream is good or not?

I honestly think it all comes down to quality of the content and how the streamer interacts with his/her audience. A few questions i might ask myself before deciding if a stream is of quality or not.

“How well are they interacting with the audience, are they answering the questions or comments in chat?”
“Are they entertaining even when chat isn’t super active? ” Example - commentating on your own gameplay, asking questions to chat to arouse interaction
“Is this stream lag free, what FPS are they streaming at?”
“How much effort is this person putting into the stream to improve the overall quality. Example - Adding new overlays, improving mic, adding alerts, pretty much anything that can spice up the content being created and delivered to the audience)”

Improvements I would like to see on the DLive platform

• Trending/Hot/New/Sub Section: We really need a trending/new/hot/subscribed section on the main page of dlive (like how Dtube has it) for streams. I think this would greatly increase the usability of dlive and will also give people that are trending/hot more visibility on the platform.
• Clips: I would love to eventually see a clip feature (like what they have on twitch currently)
• Video Upload Size Increase: The ability to upload large video sizes (currently 1 gig, this makes it hard to upload long live streams once you have finished a session)
• Chat: This is just an idea, but maybe have a seperate chat that is not connected to steemit. You could possibly have two chats one not connected to steemit and one connected. I think this would allow faster response times for streamers to communicate with their audience.
• Discord Ranks: Maybe add ranks in the discord channel for streamers/content creators. Rewarding a certain rank after they have reached a certain amount of streaming hours?
• Open URL In New Window: I would love to be able to right click a stream and have the option to open it in a new tab, this currently doesn't work.
• PHONE APP: This would be freaking amazing, i know this would take time but this is something i will be stoked for in the future.
• Schedule Widget: It would be cool if we could add a schedule widget of sorts by a person's username so we can see the times they usually stream.
• Night mode: change the background of website with black instead of white
• Tags: A way to add tags from steemit through dlive, currently it puts dlivebroadcaster before each tag you put on dlive. This could potentially bring in more traffic.
• Vote Power Indicator: Remaing vote power showed as a percentage. Maybe show this on the users profile page on dlive.io I know there are other ways to do this but it would be nice to only have to rely on dlive for these functions.
