Brewed by:

Pirate Life Brewing

Alcohol Content:

6.8%

Beer Type:

American IPA

History:

Jack Cameron and Jared Proudfoot, both Scottish immigrants, came to Australia to hone their brewing skills. Jack started at Little Creatures Brewery and Jared at the Cheeky Monkey Brewery. They eventually established the Pirate Life Brewery at Hindmarsh in Adelaide, Australia in December 2014. The first beers were released in March 2015 and all are sold in the humble 'tinnie'. Why call the brewery 'Pirate Life'? "We believe we live our life just like a pirate would, we are care free, relaxed and brew what we want to,” says Jack.

Drinkers Review:

This beer has a deep orange amber colour, bubbly white foam head and aroma of tropical fruit melon and spicy citrus hops. As soon as I opened the can you get to smell hops from the get-go. The aroma pulls you in...it’s like catching a breeze of a perfume from your ex-girlfriend 20 years ago. It’s absolutely sensational on the nose.
It's a great change to have this beer in a can, rather than the normal bottle and the brewer has done this deliberately and all of their range is in the humble 'tinnie'. There is plenty of malt goodness as well in this brew, with a good hop bite. It is quite smooth and is a beer that I will definitely buy again.

Overall a well executed IPA from this fantastic craft brewery.
