The Dirty Secrets About Waiting For A Beer Release

If you're not a craft beer drinker you may not know what a "Beer Release" event is. A beer release is when a microbrewery has a limited amount of a beer and is made available to the public for purchase on a specific date.

For breweries who make great beer and have a high demand, these releases mean that they will have a line of people hours before the release time, camping outside the building and waiting for the doors to open. It's similar to the way an iPhone is released.

Some people think it's pretty stupid to show up hours before opening, simply to buy a beer. What people don't know is that waiting 3-4 hours in line means having a big party with other beer lovers alike. It's actually common to see the same people you've met at other releases and it becomes a social event instead of just a boring waiting game.

Here's the result of yesterday's beer release in Southern California:

I'd like to know how many people actually knew this is what goes on at beer releases?
