extraction

So the bees that I show in the video did not survive but here is a description of another time. A time I will always remember.

There is an electric humm in the the air.  Persistent, and growing louder.  Smoke is slowly drifting across the garage. Sweat drips down my face. All that I can hear is a loud hummmmm.

Thousands of bees hovering all around me.  I have already torn into the wall and begun extracting the comb.  Separating the honey comb from the brood and collecting the bees with the bee vacuum.

By the end there is only a small group of bees left in the air which soon settles and collects in a corner of the room.  The captured bees are given a new home and now reside only 500 ft. from the house.  This has been my first successful extraction!
