The Beehive
The beehive has always symbolised monarchical, hereditary power. At the head of the hive rules the queen bee, who was associated with the emperor or the pope. On the reign of the queen bee mother as well as of the powerful pope or emperor depends the welfare and the natural life and order leading to the prosperity of the nation.
For a beehive to be fruitful, it has to be cared for and therefore the beekeeper is associated with the father of the family, around such a father everything develops and strengthens. A beehive is a big family both for its inhabitants and for its keeper.
The caring and loving ruler could be compared to a bee king. Without conveying and describing the qualities of a king.
Given the symbolism of the bee, many families and families chose the bee as the image of the family coat of arms.
Also the symbol of this heraldry emphasized that the people for their care, as well as the 🐝 bee - queen of the hive - should honour their ruler. And this tandem should make the people and the ruler great and prosperous. The bees expressed - reverence for authority, hard work, honesty and law abiding.
