■ You can see in this drawing, that I first drew the flower of the potato peruanita. Then I drew the daytime butterfly. I like to see them together!

■ There are plants that depend on a kind of butterfly for pollination. If some butterflies disappear, some plants would disappear. Climate change is causing many butterfly populations to disappear.

■ Peru is the country with the largest number of butterfly species in the world, some 4000 species, which inhabit mostly the forests and the Amazonian rainforest. There are also butterflies in the Andean area in southern Peru.

■ Butterflies can be protected using non-toxic insecticides, which are available in organic gardening.

■ I used a pencil 2B, colored pencils, an eraser and a paper.
