This next vid is an example of why I save virtually everything I do. Inspiration can come from anywhere, and what better place than your past-self? This beat was created with the literal 1st harmony I ever made(pretty good for my 1st time right?). This was long before I had a keyboard so rather than play the melody out, I had to painstakingly click it in, note by note. It wasn't till years later I had this "ludicrous"(get it) epiphany to add the drop... and actually make it a beat... and once I started editing, Transformers was just an obvious choice. Enjoy!
