Be a Joyful Christian

The Great Commission of Christ to us is to Go and Make Disciples of all nations!

Do everything without complaining or arguing. (Phil.2:14)

The Christian's life is a life of service and submission. It may be that you are called to work among people in distress,or that your calling is administration, preaching or another form of service. We, ourselves knew what we are called to. We are born in this world for a great purpose. It is important to know what we are called to. Whatever it is, it will demand that you sacrifice your time and yourself in the service of Christ.

Unfortunately many people have the habit of performing their tasks for Christ with a negative attitude. They will do their work and often do it exceptionally well, but they are unpleasant people with poor interpersonal relationships. This spoils the quality of their deeds, which should have been manifestations of compassion or mercy in the name of Christ. The result is that people hesitate to approach them because of the attitude that they encounter.

We must always remember that whatever task we are assigned to do for Jesus is to be done in His name, and therefore our attitude will have a positive or negative influence on the Christian faith. To ensure that we reflect the glory and love of God in everything that we do, we must do it in the strength of the Holy Spirit.

Follow the example of love, compassion, understanding and humility that Christ set in His ministry. In this way our discipleship and service will be fruitful and effective, and fulfill its ultimate purpose to exalt God.

Joyfulness is the unmistakable sign of the presence of God in our lives. -Leon Bloy
