For all those who grew up playing basketball knowing they never had a chance to aspire, J-Lin represented an outlier underdog story that was inescapable to pass up. Inevitably representing Asian-Americans, Christians, Asians, the educated, and genuine decency in the NBA, it is yet another frustrating and disappointing turn of events that has wounded the hopes of so many. Just when it looks like all that is needed to go right has come to pass, this news stands as a letdown to once again endure.
