Hello guys, since most of my posts are about things you should do on Steemit. Today we are going to talk about the list of what not to do on Steemit. The things you should be watching out for and not doing it on the platform. Let's get started.

#1. Do not beg on Steemit

Do not beg for attention and especially not for upvotes. Begging is degrading. I saw people begging for upvotes or resteemed in the comments. Chances are people won't and will probably flag you for spam. Just create good high-quality content and you will automatically get upvotes.

#2.Do not copy and paste articles on Steemit

Copying and pasting someone content and get paid off it, just seems wrong. You might think that you're giving credit to the author but that's not that case. As soon as you copy and paste something you will get detected by Cheetah Bot. The purpose of Cheetah Bot is to detect plagiarism and warn the community that there's a similar content. What worst you could even get downvoted by steemcleaner causing your reputation and payouts to go down.

#3.Do not spam on Steemit

Spamming is not a good idea. Don't go spamming your link on people posts. You will get ignore and even worst get flagged. There are other ways to promote your post. You could look for similar topics and start a conversation with them and create a connection.

#4. Do not hit & run

Some people take the content of their Youtube or their blog and post it on Steemit and then go offline without engaging and voting for anyone content. Consider you're giving a nice reward. People will start seeing that you haven't been rewarding others and only cares about yourself. Make a habit of responding to as many of the comments on your blog posts. This will keep your blog post on the active list for longer and thus gives you a chance at greater content creation rewards.

#5.Do not use the wrong tag

Don't use a tag that has nothing to do your post. For example, I saw a lot of posts in the introduce yourself. Unless you're actually writing a real introduction, you shouldn't use that tag. Choose right tags for your post. Using the wrong tag could set yourself up to potentially get flagged.

#6. Do not flag others for no reason.

Flagging on Steemit works similar to upvoting. There are no rules to tell you what you should flag or shouldn't flag, but the bad reason to flag someone is jealous of the rewards, disagreeing with the author or even revenge.

#7. Do not post anything you want to change in the future.

Editing of your posts both comments and blog posts close after 7 days which is usually 24 hours after publishing keep in mind that your comments like your blog posts are on the Steem blockchain so every revision you make is stored and will be there forever they cannot be deleted.
