Barisal sadar upazila Chandpura village Hijaltala village wife, Rana Begum (45) was beaten to death. Police arrested husband Moktar Hossain for interrogation of the incident.The bodies were handed over to the family after the autopsy on Monday.
The locals said that Ranu, his daughter-in-law Khaleda Akter, often had a quarrel with the subject matter of the incident. Last Sunday night, Ranu and Khaleda were involved in the scandal. Khaleda complained to her mother-in-law, when she came to Muktar's house. Angered by this, Moktar's wife beat up Ranu.
In this incident, the local rural physician Amal was called when Ranu was seriously injured. Amarnal advised him to take him to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital in a critical condition. But on the way to Medicale, Ranu died.
Later, Ranu committed suicide by poisoning the campaign and Moktar and his family members.
