VOP 2.0: Taking Control Of The Cartel Nests

Lately the focus of the VOP mission to stop human trafficking has been on the high ground. The cartels have lookouts on the mountains so they can direct their human smuggling operations around the scant Border Patrol agents. They have been known to use innocent families migrating here as pawns, having their smugglers direct them into the hands of Border Patrol to keep them occupied while they move their human and drug cargoes around them.

In the video below, VOP shows what a cartel lookout nest looks like, and the view it offers the cartel of vast areas of desert.

Over 2 dozen cartel nests discovered by VOP.

Today, on their twitter feed they share another nest they just located. Twitter has deemed their videos as sensitive material, so you will need to click view button to watch the video. Amazing how a video of a mountain might be sensitive according to them.

On March 2nd, Border Patrol apprehended 116 immigrants, mostly Central Americans. They were dropped off by bus, along that stretch of Mexican highway 2 where there is no wall and you can just walk across unimpeded as I reported to you here.

Going to keep this post short, but wanted to let you know that VOP is still out there doing what the government has been facilitating directly through aid to the smugglers, and through making sure the resources are mostly directed to the areas where the smuggling operations already face major impediments. In a future article I will be writing in a few days, I will be writing an editorial on why I have changed my stance on the wall. I do not believe we should have one, and believe another course of action is ideal in stopping the misery caused on innocent people. This vision on the wall is not in alignment with the VOP stance, although I believe Lewis would agree with it once I have laid it out.
