Baahubali: The Conclusion undoubtedly is one of the most successful films in the history of Indian cinema.

The film was released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi in April this year and premiered on TV on October 8. The premiere of the Hindi version on TV has not only increased the TRP of the channel that had telecast it, but also went on create a new record.

According to the Broadcast Audience Research Council India (BARC), Baahubali: The Conclusion managed to get 26,054 impressions, compared to Salman Khan’s Tubelight, which was way behind in second place with 5,195 impressions. While Main Hoon Surya Singham 2 took the third place with 5,030 impressions, Sooryvansham bagged the fourth position with 4,456 impressions and Son of Satyamurthy was the fifth place with 4,351 impressions.

The staggering difference between the first and second place shows that Baahubali is still one of the most watched films and movie buffs just can’t get over it.

Baahubali: The Conclusion, a sequel to Baahubali: the Beginning, starred Prabhas in the title role. The star cast is highly impressive with Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishnan, Anushka Shetty, Tammannah Bhatia, Sathyaraj, Nasser and others playing pivotal roles.

The magnum opus, made on a budget of Rs. 400 crore for both parts, went on to collect over Rs. 1700 crore.

The film has been produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the banner Arka Media Works and has been directed by SS Rajamouli. MM.Keeravani has composed music for this film with KK Senthil Kumar cranking the camera and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao editing.

With Baahubali 2 creating a new record with its television premiere, it would be quite difficult for movies to break it, at least in the near future.

If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan will preside over the audio launch of superstar Rajinikanth’s 2.0, slated to take place this Friday in Dubai, as its chief guest.

Apparently, Shankar and Lyca Productions, the makers of 2.0, want Kamal to attend the event and they’re awaiting his final nod. The event is all set to be organised on a never before seen scale. Rumour has it that a VIP table at the event costs a whopping Rs. 6 lakh and the organizers have already sold out all the tickets.

Tickets for the event were sold out in a few hours as audiences are looking forward to the live performance of A.R Rahman with bated breath. Rahman will perform songs from the album on the occasion for half an hour.

While the film has just one song, a duet featuring Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson, the album is rumoured to have five songs and Rahman will perform all the tracks on Friday at Burj Khalifa where the highly anticipated event will take place.

Rumoured to be made on a budget of over INR 400 crore, 2.0 unites Shankar and Rajinikanth for the third time. Although most of the talkie portion has already been completed, the makers postponed the release to ensure high-quality VFX output. Over 15 studios from across the globe are simultaneously working on different portions of the film. Also starring Akshay Kumar as the antagonist, apart from Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey, the film will be released in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu in January 2018.
