(Obviously this guide will point out some options on how you can buy the ATX NFTs enabled for the giveaways I have put out there, although you can also take the learning from this guide to understand some of how other things work around other markets, games, etc)
First, so you understand, the NFTs are inside what we call Hive Engine side-chain, which is a 2nd layer chain that relies on the main Hive chain (where all your broadcasts go). On Hive Engine, you get a set of features that currently don't exist on the main Hive chain. Such as, but not limited to:
Yes and no. The reality is that NFTs are a much "difficult" to represent material, usually because they have other properties associated with them, like pictures or even attributes that are not necessarily visible to you.
Having that said, NFTs on Hive (Engine) have associated "symbols", similar to how Bitcoin is BTC and Hive is HIVE, NFTs have also many symbols, which do not necessarily match the tokens symbols of the accounts that create them.
Complicated? I will make it easier soo with some examples.
For example, the ATX NFT's currently have creations under two symbols and respective token market communities. Some are in the MEME token community, and those NFTs use the VIRAL symbol, and others in the LIST token community, and those NFTs use the LISTNFT symbol. This is why I have shared this list on the giveaway rules post:
| Link | NFT | Extra Delegation | Compoundable? | NFT Market |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PowerUp Shard | MEME | |||
| ASCII HIVE 2023 | MEME | |||
| ATX empowers HIVE | LIST | |||
| Electrifying Hive POWER | MEME | |||
| The Golden Nectar Cube | MEME |
Hold on clicking over the links to buy them! But keep a record of this list in your mind.
So, just to quickly explain, in the first column I have the links to the places those respective NFTs are being sold, the second column is just a preview of the NFT image. The third and fourth columns are how much extra you are entitled to receive in Hive Power delegation if you win the giveaway (while holding that NFT in your account that participates in the giveaway) and if holding more than "a" NFT of that type will give you multiples of those values.
In the last column, you have links to the markets of the respective token communities of those NFTs, where they are listed at (priced via those tokens).
This means you would need to get those tokens to be able to acquire those respective ATX NFT's. But just wait!
I previously mentioned that Hive Engine also has Liquidity Pools, and these "most of the time" have much better prices when compared with the normal market. Hence why I would really advise you to read the triplet of posts I mentioned above, about liquidity pools.
But I will save you the rush and if you want the short version keep your eyes here for now...
As for MEME and LIST tokens, there are pools that are either paired against SWAP.HIVE or against other tokens too. I am going to use examples from the BeeSwap UI, but take into consideration that this lives in the blockchain, so there could be other ways to access these things out there:
In specific, and if you are looking to swap HIVE (SWAP.HIVE) to MEME or LIST to get these NFTs, then the pools you need to use are:
Right, we are on... hopefully, I got to educate you a bit before you get the legitimate NFTs that are going to pump up your enthusiasm for participating in the PowerUp Giveaways and powering up some Hive now and then. Enjoy!
Once you have the NFTs you can hold on to them for as much as you like, you can sell them later, you can transfer them to other accounts. There are lots of possibilities.
Recall that these ATX NFTs are used to "enhance" the experience of participating in my giveaways. I currently only do the #HPUD #Giveaways, but nothing says I can't use these NFTs for other types of participation, which will come up when I am ready to take that leap.
Also, I hope you can learn from this towards other NFTs and how things work, and please feel free to always ask any questions here or anywhere you may find me.
Finally, a special shout-out to @angeluxx, who politely "provoked" me (without her knowing) to create this guide. This is for you girl! I hope you get what you want. If not, #feedback please, so I can improve and make adjustments.
Have fun, play games, learn, and when possible, teach new things to newcomers, showing them how interesting this place can be.
