Free Tarot Card Reading for the Week of January 16th 2018

January 16th 2018, FREE Tarot Card Reading Blog Graphic thumbnail.jpg

Welcome to Tarot Tuesday! I started doing these readings monthly over on my WordPress blog back in 2015. A year later, they'd become so popular I decided to make them a weekly feature. For the month of January, I'll post them here on Steemit first (between 7am and 8am, depending on when the coffee kicks in - LOL!), then a short time later on my WordPress blog.

For those wondering, I use my Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck to draw the cards, but since it's so well loved (I've owned it for a bazillion years), I then substitute my Radiant Deck for the photographs. And for the record, I take a new picture of the card backs every week - first, I do the cards face up, then flip them over and take a snap of the back. I add the numbers and such with Canva, and use the current picture of the backs to create the blog graphic.

Also, while it probably doesn’t need to be said, I’m saying it anyway – this is for fun, and my messages should never be a substitute for your own good judgement and common sense. In fact, that applies to most things in life – if your gut tells you it’s not right, always listen.

Now, on to the reading! Pick the card (or cards) that you're drawn to, then scroll down to the bottom of this post for the card reveal and my short interpretation of what to expect in the upcoming week.

1. Five of Cups

Snap out of it. You've had a run of bad luck, and it seems like every time you turn around, something (or someone) is knocking over a cup of your happiness. While you're not wrong, you're forgetting something important - you have plenty of other cups still standing. Focusing on what's gone wrong, and what you've lost, won't stand the cups back up again and make the water reappear. Voice your disappointment, give yourself a little time to wallow, then pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again.

2. The World

Journey's End. You've been moving towards a goal, and after all your steps (and missteps), you've finally reached your destination. Don't believe it? Think about where you were this time last year, and see how far you've come. This can also mean a sudden epiphany about your place in the grand scheme of things, and a desire to connect to a greater community. In either case, it's time to celebrate, while also getting ready for your next journey (just like Seneca the Younger, and the song both say, "Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end").

3. Three of Cups

Time to celebrate. . Cue the dance music. Things are falling into place, even if you don't see all the pieces yet. It's time to grab your family and friends (local or online) and get your groove thing on. Don't stop to try and analyze the situation - just enjoy the (practical) magic of the moment, and give in to the joy. Even if it's something as simple as turning up the radio and dancing around in your kitchen with some midnight margaritas. You deserve this happiness.
