With the arrival of a new month, a Venus / Jupiter trine formed in the skies -- bringing one of the most pleasant and welcome energies of all to grace our lives for a while. Here, Venus in Pisces formed the departing trine with Jupiter in Scorpio -- at 23° The theme of this pattern is: positive relationships and profitable alliances, set in an atmosphere of deep emotions and uncommon intuition.
In some ways, that sounds pretty serious -- and it can be. But it also has its practical, lighter side. So let's talk about both as you watch your experiences over the next two weeks illustrate this blended energy in all its fine potential.

Ok, seriously ... who doesn't like the sound of what I just described? Congenial friends, strong feelings and a little extra spending money. It's sure a better deal than some combinations that show up -- and hang around a while. This one stands out -- for just sheer passive enjoyment. So plan to dress up and let the good times roll!!
Both Venus and Jupiter bring friendly, welcoming, fun and generous energy to life's table ... and when they're aligned to support each other, it's party time.

Venus represents your values, your style of forming and managing relationships and the way you deal with $$$. Jupiter is the symbol for growth, expansion, higher learning, abundance and generosity.
In Pisces, Venus energy is deeply spiritual, tolerant, kind and forgiving. Venus in Pisces desperately wants to make the world a better place. It seeks to heal injury, offer forgiveness and model unconditional love in ways others can learn from and follow.
In Scorpio, Jupiter energy is concerned with growth through reinvestment, combining your assets with those of others and building something with teamwork that none of the partners could manage alone. It shows you how to reclaim lost capital (time, money and effort) by eliminating projects, relationships, ideas, responsibilities and agreements that no longer serve your interests ... so something better can fill the space.

As with all interchanges between planet energies, the transfer ... the action and reaction ... flows in two directions. With Scorpio / Pisces trines one possible exchange shows a time of loss, culmination, harvest, disengagement and closure ... followed by a time of quiet, reflection, recuperation and recovery. Disintegration and breakdown ... followed by contemplation and healing.
The other direction (and the one most apt to happen here) indicates a time of introspection, a re-examination of your values and goals ... questions about what's important in life, and who and what are important to you. It may show a deliberate evaluation of what you and your loved ones need in the way of support and $$$ ... and decisions on how to rearrange your living arrangements and commitments to achieve these.
It can show a decision to invest yourself differently -- with different partners, different ventures, different goals. To do that, you may need to end some current arrangements -- or they may end naturally, having reached their intended conclusion.
Venus / Jupiter trines bring a pleasant, sociable atmosphere. Help is available if you need it -- and you're open to requests to help others. Money may be less of an issue for a while -- or you may be able to have things you want and need without having to spend a lot for them. You may simply feel more confident and optimistic about finances ... and that alone can help your overall outlook.

- More help and support from partners ... and more help and support to them from you.
- A positive, confident attitude toward money ... and your ability to have enough and manage it well.
- The end of a relationship, project, job, concept, responsibility, commitment, etc., followed by a time of assessing what you learned and what it meant to you.
- Or possibly a time of reflection and self-analysis, followed by the decision to end your involvement in some venture or arrangement ... or you may adopt a different, more appropriate perspective that takes you in a new direction.

Venus trine Jupiter encourages tolerance, patience, generosity and a kindly, almost spiritual attitude toward others -- especially the ones you love. It is also helpful in any creative work you do. Writing in particular can be uplifting and inspired while this energy lasts. Themes that are philosophical, humanitarian, healing, sympathetic, spiritual and compassionate are likely.
For the next week or so, a more pronounced joy of living arrives ... bringing more creativity, more interest in leisure pursuits, more involvement with good friends and good living ... but also more laziness. Life is easier when Venus trines Jupiter -- and you can use that any way you like.
This energy will be part of your world ... everyone's world ... for the next two weeks.

Meanwhile, if you've never seen your horoscope ... and don't have a clue how to work with it, maybe it's time to find out. There are lots of "chart services" on the internet -- some of whom produce decent, readable charts "for free" and some are so awful and confusing that even I can't read them easily -- and I've worked with charts for decades.
One extremely user-friendly chart site is here: AstroLabe. I recommend them if you want a simple, easy-to-read chart. I think they even give a reasonable little interpretive reading of your horoscope as part of the package. You'll need to know your birth information -- day, month, year, time and geographical place. Without all that your chart will have limited accuracy.

Although sometimes the background pictures in our visual essays support the topic and text, they don't always. Sometimes the connection is clear. Sometimes it's symbolic and subtle. Sometimes, there's no connection at all.

Our spectacular and remarkable planet is changing at astonishing speed. Rarely are these changes for the better. So a few years ago I began collecting pictures of the way things were ... and still are for now, a record of the beauty we have while it is still ours to love and honor.
