Made with both illustrator and photoshop. This portrait was made to serve as an avatar for a fellow steemian friend of mine. I wanted it to be colorful and to have a sharp line art, therefor I used illustrator for the line work on this one, as it is going to be used as an avatar it will be like 100x100 pixels max so the lines will be very important at the final result.
Colorful cause that is the trend now days. For coloring I exported the image as a png and continue working it out at photoshop.
Below you can see the entire line work I did at illustrator before I jumped to photoshop to color it out. The image had to be refined and some of the lines erased and others reworked. Surprisingly it didn't take as much time as I was expecting it to take. I find illustrator to work really well with the pro wacom series, especially the calligraphy pen which I am using in this case for the lines.
