Tiranosaurus or Tyrannosaurus rex (Tyrannosaurus, meaning 'cruel lizard' / rex, meaning 'king') is one of the largest carnivorous dinosaur types. T-rex can grow along 12.5 meters (about 40 feet) and weighs 4-7 tons. This dinosaur preys on large herbivorous dinosaurs such as triceratops and edmontosaurus which are the largest herbivores today. In addition tyrannosaurus is also known to have one of the strongest bites of other land animals ever.
