Bridges of St. Petersburg. The Demidov Bridge.

The Demidov Bridge named after Demidov alley, which was located nearby.
Since 1776 there was a wooden bridge on this place.
According to the design of engineer Egor Adamovich and with the participation of architect Peter Petrovich Bazin in 1834 - 1835 years on this site was built a one-span arch bridge.

During the time of its existence, lanterns were destroyed and the fences of the bridge were damaged, therefore, in order to restore many constructive elements, restoration of the bridge was carried out in 1954-1955.
The next repair was carried out and in 1998 - 1999.
