Hello dear Hive Community, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my contribution and hope you had a day that brought one or the other positive experience into your life! Today I would like to go into a little bit of about art history and hope you are able to expand your knowledge a little.

Here you can see some remarkable paintings by the artist Leo von König (1871 - 1944) and in these works his artistic talent comes out very well and each of his works is simply admirable. His works are really very expressive and anyone who pays attention to the portraits notices that he always expresses a very serious and deep expression of the faces and through the choice of the right colors, contours or other stylistic devices, the works are simply amazing and it is no wonder that he had received many awards during his career. I particularly like the light and dark effect which are clearly expressed in his works and through his special style he managed to encourage the viewer to think and the paintings manage to play with the subconscious. Already in his youth, Leo developed a strong interest in art and already at that time he learned a lot about sculpture, which was a great requirement for his further career and he attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin at that time and then he moved to the French city of Paris to visit an academy to continue his education. At that time he already made some contacts and was traveling a lot in artistic circles and after his studies he decided to go back to Berlin and in the coming years he visited some exhibitions and his reputation as artist became more and more popular.

At that time he decided to join the artist group Secession and he took part at many exhibitions together with this group, which worked at different locations and these opportunities were great to bring his works more to the public. He married the artist Mathilde Tardif (1872 - 1929) whom he had met at the time during his time in Paris and he also helped her to connect with the group Secession and together they adopt a daughter. In the coming years, the two made many trips that had strongly inspired him and he was particularly thrilled of being in Portugal and Spain where he was also inspired by the landscape and I have attached some of his works of art as a photo where he was inspied by his travels. His travels were very important to him and in addition, he was generally considered eager to experiment and he also liked to spread his knowledge and during his time in Berlin he also taught his niece. During his time in the Secession group, there were some disagreements within some members at that time, so that he decided to resign together with others to create a own group and he was generally known for having mostly been in artistic circles. He was inspired a lot by Impressionism and he was known to portray some well-known personalities and was also inspired a lot by mythology and he also liked to paint pictures of animals.
