Hi there. In this post I feature the Pokemon Trading Card Game Illustration Contest winners for 2024. There are the 3 winners, runner ups and judge awards.
Three Winners
Here are the three winners of the contest. The pictures are Pikachu, Feraligatr and Toxtricity ex. The winners were given their prizes at Japan's Champions League Pokemon Trading Card Game Tournament.
Pikachu yawning is cute and all but is it the best? I dunno. The Feraligatr to me looks weird. The Toxtricity ex picture is okay. For me these arts don't scream wow.
Runner Ups
Six runner ups were announced as well. Here are the pictures.
The Eevee by Devin Elle Kurtz is really nice. Maybe it could've won. The Melmetal from gohealth is nice too. Absol on the top left by teluna is pretty cool. tayu's Feraligatr looks nicer than the winning Feraligatr.
The artwork for the Flygons by Emma Bieber and Royce Li are okay. Emma's one has too much going on for me and with the Royce one you cannot see Flygon's head.
Judge Awards
There are also Judge awards. Fifteen winners win 500 USD each.
The Eevee by Aima Nakamura looks really nice and clean. Alex Braun's Feraligatr looks cool. The Koraidon by Spareribs looks intense and fierce. The other arts are okay or not great to me. The Pikachu by satoutubu has nice colour but the cheeks and head looks off.
