Diya- Thousand Years Story behind Lightning of an Oil Lamp

Hello everyone
A Diya, Diyo, Deya,[1] divaa, deepa, deepam, or deepak is an oil lamp used in India and Nepal, usually made from clay, with a cotton wick dipped in ghee or vegetable oils.

Diyas are used in decorating 🏘️(houses) and offices , buildings 🏢,on the occasion of Deepawali Festival in India.Deepawali is one of the most important festival in India.It is a said Lord Rama,with his wife (Goddess Sita)& brother (Lord Laxman) came back to his Kingdom 🏰 after 14yrs.

Diya is also used in Tibetan & Buddhist communities for worshipping.
