In 2012, in the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg, the construction of the Lakhta Center public and business complex began. Today, the construction of this complex is almost complete. The main object of this building was the headquarters of the state concern Gazprom. The total area of the premises is 400 thousand square meters. The skyscraper has become the most northern in the world and the highest in Russia and in Europe, 88 meters higher than the Moscow skyscraper "Federation Tower", although it is inferior to the 100-storey Groznenskaya skyscraper "Akhmat Tower" by the number of storeys. The height of the building is 462 meters with 87 floors, and 117.75 meters is accounted for by the spire of metal structures weighing more than 2000 tons.
