characteristic characteristics of idiots in the womb.

The term idiot is actually not used in the medical world to refer to children who have inaction captured the response in both motor, cognitive, social and language. What is the cause of mental retardation or mental retardation?

Although intelligence quotient (IQ) is not the only way to measure an idiot child, but most children with that condition have a lower intelligence level than normal.

The normal IQ standard by Stanford-Binet scale is in the range 85-115. Only 1 percent of the world's population has an IQ rate above 135. Half (50%) of the world's population has an average IQ of 90-110, 25% have above-average IQs and 25% of the population in the world has an IQ below it.

People who have low IQ below 70 and difficult to communicate with others who are usually called 'idiots' or mental retardation. People like this have a unique personality but in social life is often a joke in the community.

As quoted from keepkidshealthy, Tuesday (16/3/2010), 'idiot' is classified according to the magnitude of IQ, namely:

  1. Lightweight

IQ score between 55-69. Approximately 85 percent of 'idiot' children are in this range, and are classified as educated. The children can learn to read and write up to grade 4 or 5. They are relatively independent and can work with special training.

  1. Medium

IQ score between 40-54. About 10 percent of 'idiot' children enter this classification, also classified as trained. These children may have academic potential in kindergarten or grade 1. Have limited ability to read and usually require daily support and supervision in living activities, and can work with specialized training.

  1. Severe

IQ score between 25-39. About 5 percent of 'idiots' children enter this classification. Children of this level do not seem to be able to learn to read and write, but may be able to go to their own toilet by being trained and dressed with help. They usually require total oversight and support for daily life activities.

  1. Deepening

IQ scores are below 24, and less than 1 percent of 'idiot' children are in this classification.

However a newer classification system was developed in 1992 that was not based on IQ scores. The grouping of mentally retarded children is based on the amount of support and supervision of individual needs: intermittent, limited, extensive and pervasive.

There are many things that trigger children to experience 'idiots'. Usually grouped into:

  1. Prenatal (before birth)
    Caused by:
  • Chromosomal abnormalities, including Fragile X syndrome
  • Gene defects
  • Exposure to toxins or infections during pregnancy
  1. Perinatal
    Caused by:
  • Born prematurely
  • Complications of infection
  1. Postnatal (after birth)
    Caused by:
  • Infection
  • Poisoning
  • Metabolic disorders
  • Head trauma

More than half of mild 'idiot' children could not identify the cause, but the heavy 'idiot' was far more likely to be found, with probably 75 percent. The test to identify the cause of 'idiot' depends on the condition in the patient.

Tests are usually limited to chromosomal analysis for Down Syndrome or Fragile X syndrome. Or deeper can be done with MRI testing of the brain. Testing will include psychological tests to evaluate the level of IQ and its function.

Common causes of 'idiot', include:

  1. Down syndrome
It is the most common cause of moderate to severe idiots.IMG_20180217_140458.jpg

  2. Fragile X syndrome
This is the most common cause of 'idiots'.

  3. Rett syndrome
    This syndrome affects only women.

Symptoms of an idiot child may vary greatly, depending on the cause and severity. In general, most are without physical evidence like babies with Down syndrome who are suspected of being 'idiots' when they do not meet the stage of development according to their age. Some children with mild 'idiots' were not identified until they started school.

Treatment depends on the cause but in general there is no cure for 'idiot'. Treatment is only meant to teach the skills needed to maximize how they can be independent.

Children with mental retardation may also have other conditions such as autism, ADHD (Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), anxiety disorders, depression, ob- persive compulsive disorder, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, hyrocephalus, and spina bifida, and behavioral problems. If any, these conditions should be properly addressed.

The days of pregnant women and the consumption of nutritious foods can prevent the birth of children mentally retarded. Children in this condition are many who get through their lives well because they have enough skills to be gained from special schools.
