Apple and the WWDC 2019: this is all that is expected of the annual developer event

The WWDC is nothing more than the annual developer conference that Apple will be playing in June to present all the news that it has developed over the year for its mobile device operating systems, but also for Macs. It will take place on June 3 at 19 (Italian) and will be an opportunity to understand what new features the Cupertino company will have decided to include in iOS, macOS but also watchOS and tvOS. Likely that Tim Cook can take the word to reveal some hardware news and software during the opening keynote. So let's see what we expect to see during the event on Monday night.

There is no doubt that iOS 13 will be the protagonist of the whole keynote. iOS 13 will certainly be the focus of Tim Cook's attention during the presentation as usually the new smartphone operating system, but also the Cupertino company's tablets, is unveiled in preview in June and will then be released publicly in the autumn at the same time as the new iPhone usually arrives.

Without a doubt,iOS 13 will bring many new features. News that will not only concern the aesthetic aspect of graphics, which probably won't change much compared to what we saw with iOS 12 today, but it will certainly change in terms of security, speed and will certainly introduce some new features for the user in everyday use.

The rumors speak of a system, iOS 13, even faster than the one we remember has already changed "gear" compared to iOS 11, which has become too heavy and too "bugged." Code optimization but also a specific function for automatic memory distribution to specific user-based applications. Artificial intelligence, which also enters iPhones and iPads, thus enabling greater efficiency in daily use on products.

There is no doubt that the "Dark Mode" will be introduced for the first time. Apple will release this type of feature along the lines of the one proposed on macOS, which will allow users to darken all menus and submenus to preserve the battery, at least in part, by using AMOLED displays. A novelty that users have been asking for for for a long time and that Apple has finally decided to implement in iOS 13 almost certainly.

On iOS 13, some news about Live Photos that might double their length of videos linked to a photo should also be changed. News in your device management with the Find My iPhone app and Find Friends unification. The news will also cover Safari, which may receive a new download manager (with the same timeline), a new sharing mode, and a new file manager. Maps will also receive some news: you can select the places you most frequently visit as they already occur on Google Maps, allowing you to find them more quickly. A photograph will then associate the most popular places so that they do not have to search for them by name.

New, easier-to-manage Reminder app. You can browse tabs to remind you of what's being marked for the current day, all the appointments, what's been planned, and those with a specific label. With the application that tests menstrual cycle tracing for women and does not miss a new interface, iOS 13 will still look in the direction of health. These are just some of the news that rumors "roar" as other applications might find renewals in line with the currentiOS 12 with the addition of features and some esthetic changes.

MacOS 10.15 MacOS will surely also be at the forefront of WWDC 2019 and will have its developers involved in the news. In this case, the news should first concern the name of the upcoming versions as far as the Mac operating system is concerned. Mammoth, Monterey, Rincon and Skyline are discussing many options, although the most likely candidate appears to be the first, Mammoth.

Not many news clues that Apple is planning to include in the Macs ' new version of the operating system. In this case, it seems that the new MacOS 10.14 has achieved good operativity compared to the past, so there may be more security reinforcement and overall speed than real changes.

The news that could be seen on stage will actually concern new iOS-derived applications. Only some screenshots confirm and two apps arrive: one for music and one for videos that might take iTunes ' place. Not only because the new macOS version could introduce a similar function to that used on iOS to quantify "time of use." The "Continuity" functionality and the obvious stop to 32-bit applications will also be improved.

One of the most important innovations for macOS might be the willingness of Apple to allow developers to create applications in a short time and to be easily compatible with all operating systems. So the developer might be able to develop a macOS app, but also iOS-compatible or vice versa. An ambitious project challenged with the name of the Marzipan project for some time, but never really put into practice.

WatchOS 6 There will also be news about the company's new watch operating system. The Apple Watch will certainly find news from the Cupertino company with the addition of sleep monitoring that users have been asking for for for some time but still can not be obtained. For those who want to customize their smartwatches to the maximum, other innovations could clearly concern a remake of the watch faces with some new interfaces. Not only because Apple could introduce an important novelty for many, namely the Always On which would keep the ever-active OLED display of the smartwatch showing perhaps some information and notifications.

Clearly we are also expecting a lower incidence on the iPhone and hence greater autonomy on the part of the smartwatch, as the version with virtual sim included is also available at the moment. Some rumors about greater integration with MacOS and hence with Mac devices are also interesting.

TvOS 13 Even Apple TV's operating system should be updated. In this case, we know how, given the arrival of the multimedia content streaming system in the coming months, the importance of this tool is now even greater. The Apple set top box could implement intrinsic features with Apple TV+ even though the company has introduced its own application in many smart TVs, as we have seen in recent weeks. Not much is known about the Apple TV news and its tvOS, and we'll see if this platform will still be highlighted by Apple.

Mac We know the WWDC is usually the event to introduce Apple's operating systems to the intrinsic novelties. In fact, the company has nonetheless introduced innovations regarding the hardware systems as well. In this case, there may be a few words about the new Mac Pro modular that the company appears to have under construction in its Cupertino laboratories and has been rumored for a while.

Who knows if even the much talked about new monitor "made in Cupertino" does not decide to reveal to the world. Missing for years and in recent months the rumors were chased on the possibility that 2019 could be just the year of introduction of this new monitor with significant dimensions of at least 31.5 inches in 8 K resolution.

WWDC 2019: How to follow the live broadcast As always, everybody can follow the WWDC 2019 event live. As mentioned, the opening conference will take place at 19 (Italian) next Monday, June 3. It will be possible to connect to the official PAGE at that time, already present in any case, and from there the direct streaming of the event will take place.
