... a little Linework!! After the recent flood we had it was time to make some changes to the location of the Powerlines along the river. With little to no access the excavator is the way to go. While the excavator is crashing it’s way through all the debris left over from the flood, I am using a material handler (jib with winch that can handle 1,000 lbs) to hold the wires out of the way for the new pole to go in. Then down goes the old pole and as you can see the new one is close to being ready to set. This new pole will be the point where the line will turn away from the river and get up closer to the road. Back when these lines were put in they would just draw a line on a map and say, “Put it there”. Lol that is no joke. I believe there is close to 20 new poles going in to reroute the line away from and out of the river. Not only will this improve the access for us to work on them, it also puts these poles out away from the trees and off the river banks. We are all saying, “It’s about time!”.
