AntiqueFinder - Railway Map for London Underground

Here is a wonderful peace of history from London, 1937. It's the iconic map of the London Underground in beautiful colour. This was free for anyone who used the London Underground, and is now very collectable.

This iconic map was designed by Harry Beck in his spare time in 1931. Harry sent it to UERL (Underground Electric Railways Company) but there where not interested in this type of deign, but Harry Beck didn't give up and he tried again at a different time. He eventually succeed and sold his deign for £10.

The design has changed very little of over the year and these maps are a great peace of British history.

The image have come from my personal archive.
