4 ironic ways Blockchain will transform the #anonymous group for better or worse @BlockRush

As powerful as the anonymous group may be, it is no match for Blockchain technology. Blockchain could not only unmask the anonymous group but also take away their most power weapon.

There is not doubt about the fact that the anonymous group and Blockchain technology are two of the most definitive peer to peer movements of our time.

You would expert that the combination of the two would lead to some unstoppable force, yet it turn out that they do both compliment and also censor each other in some ways.

The anonymous group is known for being a hacker group that seeks for social justice by hacking the digital databases of entities it deems as contributing to a negative impact on society.

The group is best known for being anonymous - just as their name implies. Blockchain technology is known for being the best way to ensure digital anonymity, however it seem that Blockchain technology will not be of much help to the antonymous group.

In today's report, @BlockRush looks at the ways in-which Blockchain technology will redefine and transform the anonymous group for the better or worse.

1. Make them a commodity

As we speak, the anonymous group is an elite group of master hackers, probably made up of the legendary +flavor of SoftICE! The group has been responsible for carrying out several successful and daring exploits including:

While they do organised a few public events such as marches, they main people behind the movement are faceless. All we see is their Guy Fawkes masks.

However, in the Blockchain era, everyone could become anonymous. Even on Steemit, the only way to identify people is if they provide a link, a real profile picture or something else.

You cannot guess who people are when they are on a Blockchain powered platform. Can you guess who @BlockRush are? Don't even bother - even if we revealed ourself, you would not believe it.

What about @jesta? @freedom?(@ freedom is worth $10m+ God! I need that upvote) or @upvote?

In the Blockchain powered future, anyone on the internet could switch to anonymous profile and and everyone could be anonymous. We will not need any Guy Fawkes masks to be anonymous in the Blockchain powered internet.

Spammers, terrorists, admins, marketers, mods, developers and everyone would have an anonymous profile. In every digital group activity such as open source software development, commenting, forum, admins and mods of sites, atleast one person will be anonymous.

2. Make them less powerful

Did you know that the only tool that the anonymous group uses against its targets is hacking? Yes. They do not shoot, sue or rub their targets. They either hack and expose you or hack and use the data they got to blackmail you.

However, in a Blockchain powered future, such hacking exploits will be very minimal for several reasons:

  1. digital systems powered by blockchain will be transparent and any attempts by hackers to compromise a system will be visible to the public
  2. all communication systems will be encrypted end to end while also decentralized, making it impossible to match IP addresses
  3. all data storage system will be based on the torrent/IPFS/Storj system which is almost impossible to hack

Let me explain to you the complex ways in which files storage systems will work:

  1. there are several decentralized file hosting nodes around the world
  2. when a new file is uploaded to the network, it will be encrypted right in the browser before uploaded
  3. after upload to the network it will be divided into several bits
  4. each bit will be send to a random host somewhere to store - just like torrent
  5. this means that at every moment, no single host has the complete parts of any file
  6. to hack the network for a file, one would have to hack all nodes
  7. then get access to all bits of files on all nodes
  8. be able to identify the bits belonging to a particular file
  9. then be able to match the bits accurate in the right order
  10. then decrypt the file

Obviously such a task would be nearly impossible for even the anonymous; Blockchain technology is very powerful. Blockchain technology will reduce the power of the anonymous group by taking away their most powerful tool: hacking.

3. Turn them from hackers to authors

As we have seen above, the anonymous groups will not be able to function fully as a hacking group in a Blockchain powered civilization. They will have to turn to some other medium to operate, and that will be journalism.

While Blockchain technology does limit hacking exploits, it forbids censorship. For this reason, the anonymous community might turn to Blockchain blogging as a way to continue their activism.

Steemit is the best Blockchain platform which offers free content hosting, free signup, censorship-proof publishing and even pays for content!!! Steemians, you might as well get ready to host the anonymous group soon!

There is someone on Steemit like that - but I doubt that they are the real anonymous - @anonymous.

4. Enrich the anonymous group

While the anonymous group may no longer operate effectively as a hacker group, their new found journalism medium will pay off well.

People love alt-media news sources and they want to hear the weirdest of conspiracies. Yes, I bet even you want to hear about how Trump has a ... under his bed, how the popular star .... is half-human half-alien and about how some planet is going crush the earth out of orbit.

Whatever. People love to go high; some get high on sex, some on drugs, others on alcohols and some on conspiracies theories. This is why some people just love ridiculous stories that have their mind go run.

The anonymous on Facebook already has over a million followers, imagine the number of upvotes the anonymous group will get on Steemit from their posts about conspiracies, disclosures and threats! One post could fetch them $10,000!

Now you tell me, when was the last time you even saw a good post get $1,000 on Steem? Then tell me the last time you earned $100 from your good posts?

Remember, aside from earning from upvotes, the anonymous from will be able to receive donations amounting to millions of dollars monthly from faceless sympathizers.
