Anime: Current season overview PART 2 - surprises ahead

 Citrus S01e01:

So, not my thing, the whole school-kids genre of anime. At some point it was, nowadays not really. But this was curious. So there's this chick, who's not into studying but is into socialising and chilling. She's into make up and what not. Anyway, she moves to an all-girls school, to live with her mom, who hooked up with this dude. Her first day don't go too well coz' she's in violation of all kinds of rules... ALLlll... kiiindsss... And the school-student-president does a body search on her. Later at home, she finds out that that chick is now her baby sister. Oh, also - that school president is all uptight, and her marriage was decided. And the dude force-kissed her at school, and our protagonist saw it. Back to the home: this school president is being teased, and she freaks out and forces a kiss on the protagonist(I can't remember names for shit, so she's protagonist, leave me alone...).

This began as a "maria-sama ga miteru" kinda vibe, but then it changed to something far more rapey. I dunno... I'll watch another episode or 2... The characters didn't seem to be "shallow", so maybe there'll be something interesting, tho honestly? not expecting much.

For now, I'm rating it 6.2/10, Trailer, Downloads, more info: AniDB, MyanimeList.

Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku S01E01:

Ok, I love this genre of anime. Ever since I saw .hack//sign, the whole notion of "omg! I can't quit this Virtual Reality game, and now I die if I die in the game". Lots of animes of this genre recently, and I gotta say - I fucking love all of them. Overlord, sword art online, Dan Machi(holy, FUCK, DAN MACHI, FUCKKKK, are you KIDDING ME?!) - they're all pretty much awesome for me. And this is no exception. This dude is working in a programming company - they're all overworked. He falls asleep, wakes up in this game he was working on. He seems a bit imba-op to me, but hey, perhaps he is not in a few towns away. i dunno - either way, can't wait for the next episode.

For now, I'm rating it 7.5/10, Trailer, Downloads, more info: AniDB, MyanimeList.

Grancrest Senki S01E01:

So, world of magic, of there's too much chaos(different places got different amounts) demons appear. You kill demon, you absorb its... "essence" - your "crest" gets leveled up, and you're stronger. Also, you can absorb crest from other people, if they submit it to you. There's this chick, who meets this dude, he thinks he saves her from an attack, but she's all like "u-uh, oh no you didn'!" coz' she's strong too. Basically she's a mage, he's a warrior, they make a contract, she starts him on a path of bloody revolution.

She seems to me a bit imba-op tho, tbh. But hey, it's early on, and there ain't great frames of comparison, so... Who knows.

Either way, I don't expect much from this, it seems a bit cookie-cutter tbh. But whatever, I'll give it a go.

For now, I'm rating it 6.3/10, Trailer, Downloads, more info: AniDB, MyanimeList.

Kokkoku s01e01:

Ok, not to sound rude... But... Fast forward to 12th minute. Nothing of note happens before then. Up to then, the only thing of note to happen is that some family members get kidnapped by bad guys, aaaanddd... ACTION! So, there's this stone, which grants some kind of powers, through possession of some entities or something. Also, bloodlines of different families will play a role in what kinds of powers/abilities are available. Honestly? It could become super interesting, or be utterly cookiecutter trash. The reason I think it has a lot of potential is because it's not too typical for such animes: These people are totally normal family, jobs, school, even a NEET character. And the anime seems "realistic-based", so this... this could be very interesting.

For now, I'm rating it 6.7/10, Trailer, Downloads, more info: AniDB, MyanimeList.
