Hello Hello guys another anime review is about to start, sit tight and enjoy it!

General info

This is the part that mostly nobody cares but i must provide this info so if you just wanna read the story skip it. Overloard is an anime that nobody expected to be so good and came out of nowhere. It has 2 seasons, the first one aired 7 July of 2015 ( wow it's been so long? ) and had 13 24 minutes episodes and the second ones just started ( 3 days ago i think).

The producer is called Grooove and the studio is no other than the famous Madhouse which has under it's portfolio anime like Death Note, One Punch Man, Hunter X Hunter, Hajime no Ippo and others. Overlord is considered above everything a game anime ( as the whole plot and story is based on game) with supernatural and magic elements in a fantasy land with lots of adventures and fights.

Story

A popular virtual mmorpg game name Yggdrasil is coming to an end. The servers will shut down at 12 o clock and the game will be over forever. Momonga one of the top players wanna keep playing till the moment of the end. He is one of the strongest players out there, a master of magic with a player that is basically a skeleton with unique clothes and a magic wand. Moreover he and some of his friends were the masters of one of the most powerful dark guilds out there called Ainz Ooal Gown. 

Momonga soon realize that although the time had passed he remained in the game and every NPC character have a personality. 

NPC characters are somewhat like bots. They are characters with specific orders from same moves to specific lines and role in the game

While Momonga tries to understand what's going on and find a solution to all of this, he must stay in character as a supreme dark being, now king and leader of the guild and make to the whole world of Yggdrasil known who he is. Basically not only the npcs in his guild but every npc character has now his own personality and it's like a brand new world with kings, kingdoms, magic, monsters and skilled fighters.

Is It Worth?

There are many anime out there in which you trapped in a game where everything seems real and you have to survive. A big difference with all of this anime is that this time the main character is overpowered and looks like a villain instead of a hero and he got with him a small powerful army too.

Furthermore as far as it concerns the fight scenes you should expect great fights that shows the true power of Momonga and gore scenes with a lot of blood and killing ( everyone believed those scenes would be censored but no no no)

In terms of graphics when the Madhouse studio is involved you should expect great things!

Finally the npc characters where made by the guild masters from their appearance to their personalities so expect perverted, badass and stupid ones all over!

In general the anime proved really successful that's why it has a second season. The Overlord anime products sold out also like crazy too, yesterday when i was in train a guy sitting next to me about early 30s had as his front phone picture Albedo, Momonga's overseer of the floor guardians, basically the second one in charge. If you still didn't get how popular it is, the fight scenes in youtube have over 3 million views each!
