LIST: Makeup Brands That TEST ON ANIMALS

Screen Shot 2017-07-22 at 9.10.50 PM.pngWhat makeup brands test on animals? Every year that answer changes, but here is the latest information that I have researched for the year of 2017. Due to loop-holes from the US government, it impossible to know if a brand is 100% cruelty free. However, there are many grass-root and non-profit organizations that rigorously check a brand's cruelty-free claim. Take a look at the list below.

Animal testing has been a controversial practice brought to light within the last 10 - 15 years by animal rights groups all over the globe. It was their hard work and dedication that exposed horrendous acts from leading cosmetic companies to the forefront. Through public outcry, many of these companies have completely overhauled their operation. The following is for makeup brands only and listed in alphabetical order:

Almay
Artistry (Amway)
Avon
Benefit
Bobbi Brown
Borghese
Burberry
CK One Calvin Klein
Chanel
Chapstick
Cle de Peau

Although this list is current as of July 22, 2017, brands and government agencies may change their policy at anytime. If you are aware of a brand that I missed that should or shouldn't be on the list, please let me know and I will make the necessary changes. Hopefully with enough activism and support, these brands will change their stance on animal testing in the near future. Thanks so much for reading.
