Spiders: 4 new species discovered in India

Discovery took place inside the Parambikulam Tiger Reserve, a large reserve for Asian tigers, as the name suggests.

Researchers at Irinjalakuda's Christ College's Center for Animal Taxonomy and Ecology have photographed and cataloged new spider species.

In scientific literature there is no evidence of these spider species, so it would be entirely new specimens. A fact not so extraordinary in the world of arachnids, still widely to be explored, but of fundamental importance for the understanding of places and biodiversity, since the presentation of eight-legged animals is always indicative of a flora and climate conducive to the development of Many plant and animal species.

Among the many new arrivals, the Deinopis, a very large and skillful hunter spider, is so great to deceive cockroaches and other insects, and then ferociously overthrow the prey.
