Say Hello To Kirby!

Intruducing Kirby The Little Pomeranian

I bought Kirby from a girl who could no longer have him, because of different things in her life. I have a weak spot for animals that are no longer wanted, so I would like to give this little guy a chance.

He is such a good little dog, and I could not imagine my life without him! I got him when he was about 2 years old, and he is 4 at the moment :)

When he was about 1 year old (before I got him) he had a horrible accident with a horse. His old owner brought Kirby to her horse, and unfortunately the dog leash got tangled up between the horses' leg. Kirby was dragged after the horse, and banged towards the wall of the riding hall. So first after the dog leash broke, Kirby was free again. That stunt gave him a few broken ribs, one eye that he could no longer see with and a broken leg.

He got repaired for about 30.000 DKK (4.500 USD) He is now a happy dog, and don't have any problems in his everyday life <3 He only weighs about 3 KG so being dragged after a horse could have killed him - but luckily it didn't!

So after a rough start on life, he fought his way back. His owner could no longer keep him, and I just had to get that little fluffball into my life.

I used to have many Guineapigs, and Kirby LOVED them. He also liked to tease them with carrots :P

He was really fluffy when I first got him, but every now and then a Pomeranian gets something called Black Skin Disease. It’s a skin disease that does not hurt them in anyway, it’s all cosmetic. You have to be careful in the summer and put on sunscreen. There is no specific cure for it, some people have been lucky that a special cream worked, but it did not work for us. There are still more things we can try to get his fur back

The upvotes we get from this post will go towards more Vet bills for Kirby, and other research that can hopefully bring his fur back - Thank you so much for all your support, it means the world to me and Kirby.
