I blearily eye'd looked at my alarm and trying to make sense of the numbers 2.30am, in my addled mind I was thinking that couldn't be right... Until I remembered it was shoot day!! :D
After meeting up with my friend and her dogs we made our way down the 'The Spit' a long beach stretch on the Gold Coast, Australia. We could see the sun starting to creep up and hurriedly we rushed the two dogs down the beach to get ready.
Early Twilight there wasn't much colour in the sky but the dogs were still bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Beau the Border collie has the most amazing eyes. 
Finally the sun started creeping up from behind the clouds and beau frolicked in the waves
But not to be outdone by turbo, who also wanted to participate in zoomies !!
Then asking mum what activity was next...
Digging of course!!
All the wait for the sunrise and it was quickly over. Both dogs wanted to survey the beach for the next activity. 
And it didn't take them long to be soaring through the sky with such grace...
well....maybe not so much for Turbo (But at least he tried!).
Not long after the sun started to beat down, gearing up for a 40 degree (Celsius) day. So we packed up our toys and headed home. 
And that was my first canine photoshoot! Would love to hear what you think of it :)
